Why are people losing the plot over how good Wales are or could be? Chris Coleman has been banging on today about how they've got such a great future ahead of them as if they're all 19 and they've made the semis.

They were woeful against an average England team playing like a non league team drawn against a premier league side in the fa cup, their highlights being a shit goal the keeper should have saved and Aaron Ramsey basically seeing how many fouls he could commit without getting carded. They weren't much better against Slovakia

Have I missed something? Not saying I want them to do badly, despite their seeming hatred of the English, I'd be chuffed if all the home nations got out their groups, but wales have been shit

You can lose 48% to 52% and still stay in Europe

Didn't Chris Coleman sell us Luis Boa Morte?

Obviously a shrewd man.

Before the tournament most of the commentators were agreeing with Roy about "club" England, insisting that building a unit was more important than picking form players. It just shows what tossers they all are. I'm sure that Antonio and big Andy would have turned at least two of those tight games into wins. Although I'm pleased that they were resting up on the beach instead.

Played a good game last night and, unlike their next opponents, have been winning games.
We, on the other hand, were shit.
Shows what a difference there is between having a team and a plan versus having players playing out of position and no idea wtf they're supposed to be doing.
Whoever gets the England job HAS to be supported against the press and pick players on form and ability to fit more than one system, rather than pick the same shit they were awful last tournament and awful this. One win in two tournaments? Ffs!

Coleman only earns 6% on what Woy "earns" in yet his team selection and tactics was spot on.

That last goal had the hallmark of a Noble/Antonio cross and a Carroll header but did Woy selected them OH NO!

Coleman changed his front line when he knew Belgium were packing the midfield and the Welsh 18 yard box and had to adopt the long ball to Vokes ( who only cost £350K - less than two weeks of Rooney's wages!), to which this plan paid off. Even Shearer drooled at the way Wales scored the last goal.

Coleman's plan B worked, which is more then I could say for Woy!

Of course the England team are too tired to play another couple of football games after a whole season.

The Welsh on the other hand have spent the whole year relaxing

I doubt I have ever enjoyed a game from England in 35 years of watching them more than what I saw from Wales last night they ticked every box skill passion toughness hard work ability it was all there. Against England and Northern Ireland Wales were quite poor that is true but everything is possible with commitment and true passion which they had in droves.

No Welsh connection either but with a Team spirit and a half decent manager shows what can be achieved.

I'm not Welsh but I know a proper team when I see one and have more respect and admiration for them than I did for our pathetic bunch.

So many english people claiming to be welsh is embarrassing
, although most of the team does that so cant really blame them!

That's true Griff, then again, a lot of people predicted exactly what would happen before the tournament started and gave their reasons, and ended up spot on.

To be honest, the most pleasing thing about Wales' success is the explosion of all the boring clichés that people who try to sound intelligent come out with every time England are shit

I've given it to them previously, but Wales were fucking superb tonight, and 100% deserved to win. We'll done.
